The day I was totally pwned by Call The Midwife star Stephen McGann
by Stephen Tall on February 11, 2013
When the first episode of BBC1’s Call The Midwife was broadcast in January 2012, I wasn’t a fan. I snarkily tweeted as much:
Watching ‘Call the Midwife’. I don’t advise watching it. But if you’re going to watch it, watch it when yr too tired to watch anything good.

I’d have probably dropped the snide if I’d realised Stephen McGann who plays Dr Turner had been reading.
Fast forward a year, and I’m a total convert. Sunday’s episode got me quite moist-eyed with its storyline about a baby born with spina bifida.
This time I tweeted my appreciation. And this time Stephen McGann replied:
@stephentall So glad you liked it, Stephen! Especially as I’d remembered reading this 😉twitter.com/stephentall/st…

Total props to him. I’m still mortified, mind:
@stephenmcgann Agh, when tweets come back to haunt us! Am a complete convert. Srsly good work 🙂
