NEW POLL: would you support Tony Blair as the first President of the EU?

Amidst continuing speculation that Tony Blair might become the first President of the European Union, Stephen Tall puts the question direct to Lib Dem Voice readers: should the party back Blair for Europe’s top job? Nick Clegg has said publicly that “Blair really is the wrong person for this job. He won’t be very good at it and he will not enjoy it.” Those who support his candidacy point out, “if Europe chooses a bland, barely known former national leader for its first true president, the continent and the rest of the world will roll over in boredom and promptly ignore him or her.” What’s your view?
