Postcard from Cadiz

by Stephen Tall on August 12, 2006

I’m finally returned to Blighty, after a mere 19-hour plane, train and autobus trek from Cadiz in Spain.

I had a lovely time, and thank you for asking. To prove how seriously I take my blogging responsibilties, I’ve uploaded a new vidcast for your viewing pleasure.

(That it’s a little discursive and disjointed I ascribe to the lateness of the hour when it was recorded. And not at all to the very good dinner that preceded it.)

PS: I reserve the right to delete negative comments about my choice of clothing. I welcome compliments on the tan.

The tan is indeed impressive.

The comments on learning the language and absorbing the culture are very true and valid. I take my hat off to you for taking up the challenge to learn Spanish. It is a beautiful language. I have a few very good Spanish friends and have picked up some phrases from them. “Cerveza” is the one word that always sticks in my mind for some reason.

The whole videocast from Cadiz wins you this year’s coveted “Golden Anorak award” accompanied by the prize of a copy of my wife’s book, which is entitled:

“If you so much as touch a computer while we are on holiday you’ll be in the divorce courts quicker than you can say ‘Liberal Democrats’ !”

Don’t know about ‘Golden Anorak’ more like a ‘Golden Shower’.
